How Effective Is It?
- This treatment has the potential to be 100% effective, based on:
- My own experience and
- Results of informal trials.
- I now expect to cure a cold in a single treatment. However, this was not the case the first time.
- I was very lucky that the first cold I caught after reading the second research article was an extremely severe cold that started with a bout of about a dozen sneezes and runny nose that saturated a handkerchief in about 5 minutes.
- I was at work, so either had to do something with what I had available or go home.
- Started treatment within about 5 minutes of symptoms starting –treated for about 5 minutes – symptoms cleared, but returned 2 hours later.
- Second treatment – the same.
- Third treatment – did the same, but continued treatment for several minutes after symptoms cleared – this time the symptoms did not return – I’d got rid of the cold.
Having treated colds over six years, I’ve concluded that the most troublesome colds to treat are those that start with very mild symptoms, simply because you might not notice them, especially if, like me, you suffer from hay fever and/or allergies.
- I have been successful in treating colds up to 12 hours after first symptoms – but it gets more difficult the longer you leave it.
- In the above case: I realised about 12 hours after 1st sneeze that it was a cold, rather than a mild dust allergy.
- 1st treatment for about 10-12 minutes – did not seem to be effective.
- But, a couple of minutes later – improvement noticeable.
- I repeated the treatment – the symptoms disappeared and did not return.
Troublesome colds
- I once failed to realise that the sneezes were actually a cold until about 24 hours after the first sneeze. I used the treatment as ‘palliative’ treatment, i.e. by regular use it reduced the symptoms rather than getting rid of them entirely.
- The cold disappeared within a week and my symptoms were far milder than colleagues at work who had the same cold, to the extent that most did not realise I had a cold.
- I conducted informal trials over a limited period of time amongst work colleagues.
- 80% of those who had a cold and responded during the trial period were successful in getting rid of the cold.
- One person had a cold that started with a sore throat and cured it with the treatment. I had previously thought that this was impossible. I have subsequently successfully cured a similar cold myself.

Flu
- I conducted informal trials over a limited period of time amongst work colleagues.
- 80% of those who had a cold and responded during the trial period were successful in getting rid of the cold.
- One person had a cold that started with a sore throat and cured it with the treatment. I had previously thought that this was impossible. I have subsequently successfully cured a similar cold myself.
- Two people in the trials reported flu symptoms.
- One of them reported significant reduction in symptoms from using the treatment.
- I have used the treatment when I began to feel the first symptoms of what I thought was flu (feeling unwell, all joints aching).
A few hours after the treatment I felt completely well. My neighbour had the same initial symptoms and was ill for 10 days.

Conclusions
- The treatment works for other people – not just me!
- I catch about the same number of colds a year as most people – the average is two to three colds a year.
- The one time it didn’t work for me is when I started the treatment too late.
- So over 6 years, about 15 colds, all but one successfully treated and the one unsuccessful occasion was because I started too late.
- I therefore haven’t had a cold that would be impossible to cure.
- The people who reported successful treatment in the informal trials said that they didn’t really believe that it would work, but they ‘gave it a go’ anyway.
